Living Library - Insights into biographies of international alumni

Our Living Library - Book insights into professional biographies of international alumni

Rundgang 1

On 10.05.2023, our Living Library took place as part of the International Day. Students had the opportunity to virtually "burrow" and to get to know international alumni from all over the world in the "Living Library". They used this opportunity to immerse themselves in the biographies of a wide variety of alumni. The students curiously approached the booth set up for this purpose, which invited them to spend some time there with a certain library atmosphere and special books and be inspiered for their own future.

Two monitors opened the door to the entire world for the students: From Kenya, India or the Philippines; insights into professional biographies mechatronics, engineers, chemists or linguists. The biographies were diverse; the stories of our alumni as many-sided as a good book. The students listened excitedly to the international alumni and enriched the exchange with their own thoughts. The group of students and alumni thus also more and more forgot the time and the physical distance seemed to disappear.

After the metaphorical lending period had expired and the students had to say goodbye to the alumni, both sides left our small international Living Library with some new contacts. The students were also happy to have received inspiration for their own development.
